Oh now, THIS is gonna be fun! Tif will provide the class with an adult-sized hat pattern which will serve as the ‘canvas’ for students to dip into their favorite yarns and begin ‘painting’ a combination into the pattern that makes their heart sing.
Yes. You will be creating your own stranded color work design!
And, you will have support and guidance every step of the way. We will be working with DK or worsted weight yarn.
First, Tif will explain how the pattern’s six stitch repeat is designed to work so that there is a clear understanding of how different color choices will effect the end result.
Next, you will set about the planning of your colors and choosing which stitch patterns you want to layer. (This is where Tif’s experience will really help you get the results you are looking for).
Over the course of the day, we will each be creating our own unique chef d’oevre as we have fun experimenting with different color combinations to create any number of compositions before honing in on the one that delivers YOUR perfect hat!
