Short Rows & Shortbread

Taught by:

Gudrun Johnston

Offered:

Thursday, June 2nd - CLOSED

Experience level: Intermediate

This is the class that will take your fitted knit garments to the next level! If you have long admired the knit-in shoulder (vs sewn-in), the perfect drape of a sweater or a hem’s smooth finish — now’s your chance to learn the super secret technique: the short row.

The technique is nothing short of magical and a must have for your knitting repertoire.

In this class we will practice and compare several different methods and discuss where to put it to good use. You will learn how to shape shoulders, bust darts, hem lines and that’s just the beginning. You will also get to benefit from examples of Gudrun’s designs that expertly use this method as they will be available to view in class.

Of course, how can we have a class on short rows without some delectable shortbread? (Answer, we can’t).
