Episode 63 :: Samantha May Lamb

February 8, 2017

Not quite sure how it happened that for the third week in a row I am chatting with a marvelous women who also hails from Toronto! (I’ve decided that it must be a sign I simply have to get up to explore this marvelous city one day soon – on the calendar.)

Today, I am chatting with SAMANTHA MAY LAMB who has been a huge inspiration to me for years and years. Sam falls into the category of those amazing makers who are so different from me I don’t ever aspire to be like them (I’m just not from the same magic planet they hail from, alas), but I sit back and admire their extraordinary capacity to create such beauty with what seems like such ease, comfort and joy.

Sam first came to Squam to celebrate her 40th birthday– a story I did know, but as you will hear in our conversation above — there is a whole NOTHER piece to that decision where Squam and her life intersected that I never knew before.

It seem Sam and I were destined to connect as we even launched a sewing pattern together that was such a fabulous and fun collaboration– and gave us the perfect opportunity to get to know each other better.

One thing that really struck me in Sam’s story was how her professional life as a creative was a complete surprise to her and how she ended up working in an industry for 16+ years that she never even imagined she would be a part of.

Take a listen to the tale– it’s filled with such good things— I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

bisous, Elizabeth
