Jooé Kim is a fiber arts instructor specializing in knitting and sewing.
She believes knitting is a super power that can be a faithful companion through life and has a magical way of healing and building community and loves teaching. Jooé is currently an instructor at Cambridge Center for Adult Education.
An elderly neighbor taught Jooé how to knit during her childhood in Nigeria. As an adult, she found herself knitting as a form of therapy during stressful periods. Jooé embraces slow fashion and loves that yarn is a fiber which can be used over and over.
When she tires of a sweater, she’ll unravel it and knit a cowl. You’ll find her knitting neutral colored sweaters and neon hats.
Knitted animals are also one of her passions.
