What makes a handknit sweater go from looking okay to looking sensational? Quite often it’s all about the subtle details behind a perfect fit.
Sure—you might be thinking. That’s simple to say, but dang if that is not hard to execute.
That’s why we are so excited about this workshop because in this class, your knits are going next level!
Lily Kate France designs patterns with perfect fit. She knows first-hand how much technique and intention goes into each decision and she is going to share with you how to ensure your knits land on your body beautifully.
During the five-hour workshop, we will explore the aspect of fit and how to modify any pattern so that the end result gives you a knit you never want to take off. Plus, Lily will be sharing finishing details and best practices including:
-
why neck & shoulder shaping are crucial for the perfect fit
-
why she loves double knitting, short rows & combinations of the two
-
Button bands that make or break the item
And? Best of all, the class will end with Lily Kate helping you to style and photograph your knits in a way that boosts your confidence to the roof and helps the world see the beauty of what you have knit. This is an extra special part of the workshop as with all her years in front of and behind the camera, Lily has much to share that will improve your knitwear photographs whether you want to sell your designs or simply share your work with friends and family.
