Episode 65 :: Penelope Dullaghan

March 1, 2017

One of the very fun things about knowing someone for many, many years is to get to witness first hand how their life unfolds. PENELOPE DULLAGHAN  (pronounced DULL-A-HAN) <– I share that because I always say it wrong! ha) is one of the very first people I connected with during the early days of blogging, lo these many years ago. It seems like lifetimes have passed since then and as Penny and I caught up on the phone it was that most wonderful thing where yes, so much has happened and yes, it feels like no time has passed at all.

As you will hear on the call, Penny has created an extraordinary career and life. She is one of the hardest working people I know and her efforts have paid off in spades as she gets to work with a wide range of clients including Crate & Barrel, New York Times, Starbucks, Oprah Magazine, Target and many others. She is also a wife to Colin, mother to Veda and a certified Thai massage therapist.

But if you really want to get a vibe for Penny, head over to her IG account where she shares images of her work and day.

Of course, given this is my last year of doing the big gatherings at the lake, it feels so extra special that Penny — who taught at the very first Squam in September 2008– will be offering a fabulous class at BOTH Spring and Fall retreats. How lucky are we!

Okay, enough of me– let’s jump on the call and listen to Penny share some of her story.

bisous, Elizabeth

It was such a disappointment to cancel last year ( It was such a disappointment to cancel last year (amid all the rest of 2020) so it is no small delight that we WILL be welcoming @maralicoleknits to the lake in June where she will be sharing an original shawl pattern and teaching brioche! I love her sock pattern here and the message from her launch last July about "just keep putting one foot in front of the other." Indeed. #squam2021
