where the sunset stretches its arms wide as forgiveness*

19 october 2012

I have exactly three minutes to type to you in this moment.  More is coming.  SO much more.  But for now, know this:

I am in love with a poet new to me thanks to Amanda Chea bringing the SMELL of GOOD MUD with her to this gathering.

I am in love with this place (but you already knew that).

I am in love with every one of the magnificent goddesses who are here on this beach.  I am.

I am so grateful.  Beyond words grateful.  Love is in the house.

"Here is where the sunset stretches its arms wide as forgiveness across stolen plains.
Here is where Clara Luper sat down at the Katz lunch counter and started the sit in movement.
Here is where the black and white soldiers fought alongside each other for the first time.
Where Kate Barnard was elected to office before she had the right to vote.
Here is where Charlie Christian learned guitar.
Where Wayne Coyne keeps the bubble.
Where Woody Guthrie played the harmonica for sandwiches.
Here is the land of the heart.
It's where the healing has to take place.
Tell them you are not moving.
Oklahoma is worth the wait."

The best hugs in the world are found at squam, given and received by squamies...

Still glowing from absorbing and observing the love at the OBX.

My beautiful Elizabeth, you are sunlight filtering through dusky, evening clouds. I can still see your long hair floating about Squam as you walked everywhere. So much love to you, pretty girl, inside and outside.

Bisous mille,
Ash
