this healing place

Sunlight now pours into my room and it seems inconceivable that I would be sitting here in my pajamas typing to you on a computer when I could be outside with my feet in the surf.

but part of the issue is I want to share it -- it is so deeply healing to be here, by the sea.  The steady crash of the waves, the feel of the morning air, the perfume of the russian olive bushes.

The russian olive bushes!  Have you ever smelled this?  So gorgeous.

This place, the outer banks of north carolina, has been such a place of healing for me in my life.  Truly a place that I came to at different times when I felt exhausted or sad or broken and it was like I was lifted by the very energy that is here.  Lifted and held.  And it is every bit as true this morning.  There is a softness here, a gentleness that I have never experienced at some of my most beloved beach spots --

We are about to have a gathering here of 80 beautiful spirits and I am hoping for each of them an experience of connecting with more light, more love and more ease. 

Sometimes I think we don't even see ourselves, our busy lives-- the crazy ways our spinning minds drive us here there and everywhere in an endless spin.  Sometimes it takes truly getting out of our everyday to stop and sink in and find how much of that noise we can let go-- as we simply listen to the steady breath of the surf.

Okay, enough of me-- I gotta go watch my pelicans now. I'll be sending you the energies from here to wherever you are sitting. Take a moment, close your eyes and catch the vibration.
