Collaboration is an art unto itself-- messy, vital, utterly dependent on excellent communication and founded in trust.  At its best, a collaboration results in something no single mind could produce.  It has no shortage of challenges, both personal and professional, but it can also be hella good.  Below are the four primary worker bees behind Squam, but rest assured, there are many other helping hands lifting, toting and stringing twinkle lights-- this is an enterprise based in community and steeped in support.  Each gathering is much like a barn-raising with so many angels swooping to help lift the rafters every.single.time.

"I learned from the workshop’s organizer, Elizabeth,
that boundless energy can be manifested out of
sheer nothingness, somehow, for days on end,
that a bohemian art chick can still look totally
natural with a walkie talkie, and that it’s possible
to find what you’ve been looking for in an empty field
drawn with white labyrinth lines. I saw her do it."

"So Michelle is the new agey-est person that I know.
She's a yogi and a hooper and an earth child and it's
because I've also seen her whip a pre-Christmas
warehouse full of back-ordered alpaca sweaters and
dinosaur puzzles into shape using only a stack of
post-it notes and the rage-fueled desire to create
calm in the middle of a clusterf*ck that I can enjoy
her blissful blog.  I promise you'll like her."

"she's the owner of one very brave cowgirl heart,
the soul sister we all are lucky to know, the nurturer,
the mama spirit to all who need comfort or joy.
oh yes, and she rocks the the sassiest boots,
skirts, and sings and cusses like the most endearing girl
on the planet. and did i mention that Jen eats
spaghettios while streaming wise wise words
of understanding and grace? my kind of girl.
everyone's kind of girl"
