(UPDATE: our Spring 2014 retreat has sold out and is now closed. Thank you so much for your interest!)
Oh, the feeling of anticipation. Are you ready for the sound of screen
doors slamming, the scent of pine needles underfoot, the comfort of
early morning coffee on the dock as mist rises around you? There’s such a
lovely balance between the sweet steady refrains of tradition and the
bracing wake-up call of new experience.
This year feels especially sweet as the promise of another gathering in early June comes into view. As always, there will be a range of creative classes on offer including knitting, sewing, art, writing, weaving, photography and woodworking.
Plus we are delighted that Jared Flood will be with us all week as a knitter-in-residence. On Thursday night, Jared will share his journey from passionate knitter to designer to creator/developer of beautiful USA produced yarns: Shelter and Loft.
Keeping with tradition, Friday morning and Saturday afternoon will have free time for relaxing, hiking, exploring the antique shops, swimming, sitting on the dock, basically doing whatever calls to your heart. However, if you are someone who enjoys a bit of structure, there will be a host of yummy scheduled activities for you to choose from.
Yes, there will be twinkle lights, beautiful food, laughter pealing from a corner on the porch as there will also be mystical connections and unexpected discoveries that you cannot plan for. This we know.
