postpone your dream no longer
PHOTO CREDIT Amy Gretchen MaherIt was, in fact, the best squam ever.
We did have sweet sultry warmth. We also had sharp, shocking cold.
The beauty is, we were ready for it all. What we can never be prepared for is the magic of the gathering. All you can do is come in with an open heart and release into the spiral of connection that pulls us all together. It is not possible to transcribe an ephemeral, spirit-based experience-- but I do hope we'll all give it our best shot and I will share blog posts below as they roll in.
And, here is the flickr address to see photos from this session: SQUAM September 2011 (Do keep checking back as I know they will be rolling in over the course of the week as we had people traveling from afar including Japan, Alaska and Sweden-- woot).
NOTE: some of you did not receive the beautiful (bee-YOOO-tee-ful) cards that PIXIE made especially for you. Although it was her birthday this year, she is GIFTING us all with a special session of her SouLodge. If you attended this Fall session of squam, you can register for her October session for FREE<---! HERE
We often talk of "squamorse" and the difficulty of re-entry after this experience-- I think Pixie's SouLodge will provide the perfect soft landing as you transition back into daily life.
Meantime, here is what I read on Sunday morning to close out the session for those who had asked me to share it. It comes from John O'Donohue's To Bless the Space Between Us and these are the last two stanzas of his poem "A Morning Offering."
may my mind come alive today
to the invisible geography
that invites me to new frontiers
to break the dead shell of yesterdays
to risk being disturbed and changed
may I have the courage today
to live the life that I would love
to postpone my dream no longer
but do at last what I came here for
and waste my heart on fear no more.
Bisous, E
