Episode 51 :: Amy Small

Fun. Light. Pretty. Smoosh!

Last September, I came round the corner at the Squam Art Fair and found myself stopped in front of the Knit Collage booth. And I must say, those are the words that rolled through my head. This is yarn that could be described as delicious. Seriously. So pretty. So fun, light and utterly SMOOSHY!

It may have taken me a minute, but
eventually I did look up from the yarn
to meet its maker:  AMY SMALL

Yes! The woman I had been hearing about all night since she managed to help Virginia and Noah by setting out a beautiful table of nibbles and giveaways at the Modern Quilt Show. You know, that’s just how a woman with a 3 year old, a 5 month old and a booth to set up at a fair rolls. Or, at least, that’s how Amy rolls.

No one ever said it is easy to follow all our many passions in life —
but even when it feels grueling, there is tremendous
satisfaction in creating a life filled with all we love most.

I am so grateful to have been able to spend time with Amy and hear a bit of her story. I think sharing our stories is one of the most uplifting and supportive acts we can give one another. So, grab a cup of tea or settle in for your commute to work, etc — time to hear how another woman is following her heart and making her way through this crazy thing we call life.
