Episode 10 :: Helene Dujardin

“Squam June was about layers. Of clothes. Of your soul. For me, it was about letting my six year-old self come by. Because I really miss her. She was always fun, bold and smiling. She’s back.”

Above are words from Helene’s post about her time at Squam in 2012. It is also a way for you to see the shining spirit that is Helene.

Not only is she a marvelous chef and photographer, she is also a wonderful storyteller, too.

Recently, she had been working as a full-time photographer for a publishing firm but then left her work there in Birmingham AL to return to Charleston, SC some months ago. I was thrilled to know she would have time in her schedule once again to join us at the lake and am thrilled she will be with us in June! Her class will focus on shooting and styling your handmade clothes. Yum.

One of the things that I admire so deeply about Helene is how she finds the the light within the darkness. The past few years have hit her with such terrible tragedies and loss, and yet, as you will hear in our call, she finds the way through with beauty, grace and courage.

Take a listen as we catch up on all her happenings.
