It's always tough to return to regular life after a squam gathering, but one way we have learned to soften the landing is to share stories and images so that we can relive the experience. Below is a list of blog posts talking about last week. Please do check back as I will continue to update the list as new links are shared.**
Also, two other things:
1. the june 2012 flickr site is brimming with yarnbombing and lake magic - do enjoy
2. we have a brand new community site (thanks to Jen Gray) this is open to ALL -- whether you have ever attended, are attending this year or just like to be part of the conversation-- so come round and check it out.

"First let it be said that summarizing a Squam Art Workshops experience is about as easy as capturing the grand canyon in a photograph. It has been done, for sure, but as much as I want to share the magic with friends, and family, and here, it is never going to be quite as good as the real thing. It is just so much bigger than I can represent within any kind of reasonable parameters. That being said, it is worth it to share a glimpse. It was my third time, and it was as electrifying as the first." ~ MICHELLE FARBER
I just returned from that fabulous retreat you and your team put together. I'm sure you hear this all the time, but it was incredible! I came home needing to MAKE ART EVERY DAY. This is no longer an option. I really cannot envision not coming back. There are so many gifted teachers I want to learn from! The attention to detail was exquisite--from the site selection to the notes in the cabins. My friend and I marveled non-stop about how the experience was completely perfect. - CHRISTINE JABLONSKI
I just wanted to write a quick note to say thank you for a beautiful Squam this year. It is always lovely to go to SAW but this year was particularly sweet for us, as a new family. My transition to motherhood has been, in many ways, easier than I expected but there is only so much time in the day and one of the things I realized during my time at SAW was that slowly over the past few months, in the wonderful daily busy-ness of having a baby, my creativity felt just beyond my grasp. I feel reconnected to that part of myself after being at Squam and I want to thank you and your wonderful staff and teachers for that. It was so wonderful to have Casey and Eloise there- they got to spend some real quiet, special time together which can be so hard to find when you are home with all the distractions of everyday life. Everything ran so smoothly- I give you and your staff (Lauren, etc) so much credit because I know how much work goes into events like these... just to make it seem effortless. It is such a special event, these workshops, and it really changes peoples' lives. - JESSICA MARSHALL FORBES
