This photo is of the field I often go walking in, and right in between those two trees is where I like to hang out. This week when I went to visit "the Sister Trees," (that is what they are known as) I sat for what seemed like an hour. I began to get all teary (which for those of you who know me, know this is a regular thing!) as I thought about all the beautiful plans we are weaving together at Squam. A wave of full blown gratitude swept over me...

When I returned home, I spent time reading through previous blog posts, taking in all the comments each of you have left along the way. Which of course, made me get all teary eyed again! I am so deeply thankful for being able to share this journey with you.

We are working so hard to bring as much goodness, support, inspiration, and love to this community, and it's no surprise that we are receiving those very things in return from all of you!

Tonight at the dock, I would simply like to say "thank you."

Thank you for all the encouragement and kindness you have shown to us and to one another. Thank you for making Squam a beautiful place to land. Thank you for showing up, and taking part in this incredible, and creative blessing.

Squam is what it is today, because of YOU. And we are forever grateful...Have a gorgeous weekend, you certainly deserve it!

Love, jen

*and we'd love it if you feel sharing who or what is responsible for the thankfulness in your heart today...*

(Oh, and here's a little playlist I made for you enjoy)

Can I say I'm grateful it's Friday? Even though the weekend isn't stretching wide open but has its scheduled requirements, I'm still grateful it's the weekend, and I truly hope the cat and the kids allow me to sleep until at least 6:45. :)

Happy weekend!

this is such a beautiful place to land. so much love and support swirls round here. I am who I am in my life today because of squam. The day I arrived in new hampshire 5 years ago I was forever changed, and in the best possible way. I am incredibly grateful for elizabeths vision and her desire to go after her dream and also incredibly grateful for the way it has flourished and grown.

Thank you to each of you who make this community what it is. A place filled with love, laughter, support, tears, and pure goodness xoxo

::hugs Jen:: I'm grateful for Elizabeth, Christine, Jen, and Michelle and the wonderful energy they have brought into the world in general and my life in particular with their realization of Elizabeth's dream. I'm grateful for live music (Punch Brothers last night in Somerville, woohoo!), snuggly kitties, sunshine and cool breezes, good friends and loving family, and chocolate. Especially chocolate.

I have a few things to say.... so bear with me please!
First, thank you Jen. I am so grateful for your genuine warmth and compassion. You have on numerous occasions offered me comfort & kindness.
I am grateful to Elizabeth~ for her vision, her passion and her generosity. It blesses so so so many of us.
Today I am most grateful for my dearest friend Dave. I have been sinking into some murky waters of late but he rescued me and spent the day with me out in the sunshine. Giving me space to cry and share my pain~ he offered no answers, no cheer-leading, no "it'll get better"~ just listened and said it sounded hard, and that he was sorry I was going through it. We then walked along the beautiful bay shore~ my spirit lifting to meet the hawks high above. And then a delicious puerto rican lunch! To have been freed of the darkness for an afternoon was heavenly. A true friend, I am eternally grateful for.
