I love making personalized embroidery pieces. In this class we’ll make a beautiful hand embroidered ornament customized just for you! It’s a perfect memento of your time at Squam, and can also make a great gift. In this beginning, six-hour embroidery class you’ll learn some embroidery tips and tricks, how to transfer a customized pattern, and a handful of lovely embroidery stitches. We’ll even finish our embroideries by covering the backs and staining or painting the hoops. I’ll share images of amazing embroidery projects and have an open, casual environment for fun and inspired making.

Materials List:
Linen fabric - a fat quarter would be a good amount
Embroidery thread – As many colors as you like - 5 skeins in different colors  would be great
Cotton fabric - Optional, to back embroidery piece
Pencil & eraser
Fabric scissors

Printed pattern
Transfer paper
Embroidery hoop
Needle
Glue
Paint brush
Paint / wood stain for hoop
