blue moon magic & the shibori tee

You may call us slow, you may find that we are a wee bit lackadaisical in our social media obligations but damn if we don't have the alignment thing working for us.

This week is a blue moon, people! That rare celestial event that has no shortage of songs and poems devoted to its particular magic. And, in perfect synchonicity, this month we have the shibori full moon tee available in the Squam store.

I am hoping that you get the vibe from the video above, but if not, let me tell you that once you have experienced the amazingness of the fit, the fabric and the attention to detail on this tee -- you will be finding every excuse to wear this piece. It is that comfortable-- it is the perfect go-to layer that will get you compliments at every turn.

And, as with all of our goodies in the Squam store, the story of the makers behind it is a beautiful thing, too.

Moon Tide Dyers started with the collaboration of two textile design artists who first met in the Artisanry School at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. A short run of about 30 experimental t-shirts sold out at one of the New Bedford Open Studios and a marvelous collaboration was born.

Moon Tide Dyers garments are designed, sewn, patterned, and dyed in their studio, located in New Bedford, MA. All of the work is produced locally.

They have created this color just for us and it won't be available again after this month. We've got more details listed out for you here in the store.
