Elisabeth Louise Vigee-Lebrun, Countess Golovin
There are two books my mother has given me and they both sit directly facing me from where I spend many an hour here at my desk. One is a fragile first-edition of Louisa May Alcott's Life, Letters and Journals the other is a 10" x 10" full-color book, Women Artists, An Illustrated History with the Countess Golovin filling out the cover.
The countess and I have a very direct line of communication, eye to eye, and our daily communion feeds me greatly.
In fact, I love the work of Elisabeth Louise Vigee-Lebrun with a love that the word love doesn't really begin to encompass. I'm still waiting on some new words to augment our much beleagured and overtaxed "love"-- damn if that four letter word doesn't do yeoman service-- c'mon vocabularly people-- create some new verbage for us already!

Anyway, just sharing things that make me happy.
My intention this morning was to put up a wonderful post sharing all matter of thank yous coming and going in every direction, a veritable cornucopia of thank yous, but it turns out I have commitments from 9am right up to 7:30pm today--(shhhy, don't tell my husband as he is quite keen that I am on vacation this week . . oh well).
But, the thank you extravaganza-bonanza IS coming! *pinky swear* Everything is just taking me longer, that's all.
And, if you haven't read/enjoyed ALL the posts post-Squam-- do check out this LIST, the list continues to grow and--ummmm, so good.
Bisous, Elizabeth
