Anything can be used to wake up and breathe into the present moment:  a new year, a new morning, a birthday, a death – a car accident, an almost accident—but the very best of all is love.

it was beautiful

Last week, Christine and I spent three days in a most magical class with an absolute love of a teacher making paper-mache creatures, replete with tiny knitted hats and crocheted trousers.  There were donekeys with panniers, a house with a clever chimney, a robot with a vacumn and even an exquisitely wrought baby carriage.

double dog dare : february

We have officially completed the first month of Double Dog Dare! Congrats to everyone who participated! We celebrate those who have completed their dare, we celebrate those whose daring efforts will continue into the months to come, and we celebrate the strength found in a supportive and caring community.

one by one

I was being teased about my to-do list, normally written quickly with a soft, swift pen it had become bold and heavy handed with dark lines between each task and then trough them as I completed them. It was as if I was willing myself to focus by the sheer gravity of the pull of the ink. But I finished them...one by one.

in search of new experience

For both Christine and me, we're here in search of new experience.  Neither of us have been to England before--so just getting to be in the countryside with our cameras in hand, walk about the gardens, down to the village, check out the open studios (West Dean has a range of art classes going on all the time)-- is a big draw.
