Hands down, one of the best roadtrips I have ever taken was the one I took with my husband through Death Valley. We love exploring new places and we love freedom these kinds of trips allow us. You never know who or what you will run into, or what will be revealed to you along the way.

And, the truth is, I may not achieve exactly what I set out to do-- but I always find that I gain more of what I want most in my life as I set these small, attainable desires out to float on the community pond for all to see.

Etsy and Squam are two sides to the same coin. We may be coming at it from different angles, but we both seek happiness for artists. Whether that means creative success or financial success...it's ultimately about doing what you love, what makes you happy.

And that's what it is all about, I think.  That feeling is what I hope each of us has during a squam retreat-- among the many other good things that happen-- but mostly that feeling of being transported to a place and time where play, simple play in and of itself for no other purpose than to lift our spirits.
