Looking back, I can see that my shock at discovering the difference between what I thought was maple syrup and the real thing was one step on a lifelong path toward awareness of and appreciation for, that which is authentic.

Feeling extra grateful these days...

Not sure how things are feeling in your neck of the woods, but here on the east coast the weather has been one beautiful day after the next and all this light spring feeling has me wanting to get my hands dirty in the garden, messy in the studio or simply goof about and make something.

Anyone who has ever met Susannah Conway can attest that her warmth, intense passion and open heart pulls you in close.  No wonder then, her e-courses have set the gold standard and helped thousands of people use their camera and a notebook to explore their lives more deeply.

Get me to the love, I say-- set me free from the attitudes and thoughts that produce anything but a loving response.  And?

It'd be really great if we could have ice cream, too.

Sticks and stones and childhood quirks... 

Back in the middle of January—we put a call out for some focus on love for this second week of February that is all about Valentine’s Day – the idea at the time was to offset, or expand, the traditional experience of that day.

I can tell you definitively, I had NO idea what was about to roll into my mailbox.  I had NO concept of the magic that people would make and share.

Of course I had to learn more about the woman who was clever enough to design the gorgeous french press felted slippers and lucky for me, she had a most lovely blog where she shared one fabulous design after the other all the while charming us with her life and family.

Anything can be used to wake up and breathe into the present moment:  a new year, a new morning, a birthday, a death – a car accident, an almost accident—but the very best of all is love.
