Oh, the bounty of good things spilling out! How I love this season.
"I’d been seeing photos and hearing about Squam for the past few years, and longing to attend, and I can tell you the place is even more beautiful than the pictures." - KAREN TEMPLER
Nope. It is me most beholden. For certain. For always.
Whether you are coming for the whole retreat or only joining us for the Squam Art Fair Saturday night, we have been lucky enough to receive fabulous (and generous) support from some of our most favorite businesses and we wanted to let you know who they are!
But, if we can actually align with the idea of rest, play :: HOLIDAY! :: then I think wonderful adventures can find us easily -- especially adventures that involve lying stretched out on the sofa with a bag of salt caramels at hand, oh wait, maybe that's just me?
That's one hundred, but oh -- I have barely scratched the surface.
Freedom. The choice is yours.
TGIF :: Thank God I am Fantastic is a celebration of ourselves
exactly how we are and where we are right now. I'd absolutely love it
if you wanted to join in. You can see where it began HERE.
And, if you are so inspired to write about why you are so flipping fantastic
this week at your blog-- please do share the link so we can all visit you there.
This year, in celebration of our 5th anniversary-- we have a Saturday party planned that is open to all. So if you have ever wanted to jump in the car and head up to the lake and see what it's all about and take in the Squam Art Fair-- this is the time!
is it getting harder or easier to see the beauty?
This September, Squam is delighted to be hosting the first ever Taproot Gathering and let it be said, there will be much with the leisurely pace and much with the sumptuous breakfast (and lunch and dinner) as the focus on fresh, organic, locally sourced food will be at the center of this five-day retreat. And of course, as with all Squam events, you will have a wide range of classes to choose from, each more delicious than the last.
Sheesh. Did I mention I was feeling a bit breathless?
May your new year be a fresh start coupled with old favorites.
And, at heart, isn't that what we are all grateful for? It's what is baked into our favorite pie, it's what greets us at the door, it's what gathers us around the table and then, settles into our lap as we veg out on the sofa groaning in a post-feast haze.
Ha. As if. Five years of this has tumbled me like a rock. I am on completely new ground and have given over to living without expectations of the future. I could never have predicted any of this.
