She's also just fun. Goofy. Silly. Fun.  I know, right?  She looks all polished and sophisticated-- I know, but let me tell you, she is also super fun (and funny).

This month is really special for me and our islands as the current issue of National Geographic Magazine features our little sandbar - in a visual love letter written and photographed by my father-in-love David Alan Harvey.

The very first time I met Helene I was completely swept off my feet by her warmth, her open heart, her radiance and her fabulous sense of humor. She has to be one of the loveliest people I have ever met. Truly.

Maya's facility with word play and the way her mind skips and jumps to new ideas to make fresh and exciting connections-- well, it's like electricity, really-- and I was hooked.

Anyone who has ever met Susannah Conway can attest that her warmth, intense passion and open heart pulls you in close.  No wonder then, her e-courses have set the gold standard and helped thousands of people use their camera and a notebook to explore their lives more deeply.

If you have never had the good fortune to be in a class or a conversation with Maya, I hope one or the other is in your future as she is, most assuredly-- as she readily admits below-- so good at the loving thing.
